

Chelsea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of mental health and social work experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Family Studies from Weber State University in 2006. She later earned her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with a mental health emphasis from University of Utah in 2008. Since that time Chelsea has gained experience in adoption work, children and youth mental health, Emergency Room crisis work and outpatient psychotherapy. In 2013 Chelsea opened an outpatient therapy private practice and expanded to the Abundant Life Counseling and Wellness Group in 2020. She currently works as the clinical director, mentoring mental health therapists entering the field of outpatient therapy. Chelsea also specializes in working with adolescents, adults and families affected by anxiety disorders, eating disorders, maladaptive perfectionism, depression and relationship difficulties.
Chelsea aims to normalize essential mental health care and to decrease stigma associated with mental health. She values helping others learn how to thrive in life, despite difficult circumstances and experiences. Through warmth and empathy, she focuses on building a therapeutic relationship with each client to create a safe environment that fosters growth and change. Through an integrative approach, Chelsea uses various therapeutic models including, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Family-Based Therapy (FBT) to empower clients to pursue the life and change they seek.
