Austin is currently earning a dual master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He has previous counseling experience at West Jordan Middle School, where he worked with adolescents facing a variety of mental, behavioral and academic issues. Prior to that, Austin was a teacher at a residential treatment center, collaborating with other therapists on behalf of his clients.
Austin enjoys working with a variety of clients, including adolescents, adults and couples. He helps clients and their families navigate the complexities of depression, anxiety, ADHD and relationship conflict. Austin sees counseling as a journey and works with each client to help them navigate their own path. Austin uses EFT (Emotion-Focused therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Rogerian based therapy modalities in his practice. He believes growth and change are possible within any individual and family, which he supports and facilitates with his clients through authentic connection and creating a safe therapeutic environment.
