Ashley Geertsen, MSWI

Ashley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studiesthrough the University of Utah in 2014. Ashley is currently working on her Masters degreein Social Work through Utah State University. Ashley has 10 years of experience working within the social work field. She completed her first year practicum at Primary Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room, Cardiac CrisisCare Unit, and worked briefly in the crisis unit.

Ashley believes everyone deserves to live a fulfilled life and is here to help you achieve that by leaning into your strengths, values, and resiliency. You will be listened to, heard, andsupported. Ashley would love to work alongside you to meet your goals. Ashley enjoys working with all people, but has a passion for working with people who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, life changes, self-esteem issues, and grief. Ashley’s focus is to prioritize your needs in the therapeutic setting. She offers safety,support, humor, understanding, and compassion. You will always be listened to, heard,and supported.

Ashley provides individual and family counseling in sessions through a client-centered approach using various evidence based practices including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
